Interrogación con el verbo "to have"
Para definir como se forma la interrogación hay que distinguir si el verbo "to have" actúa como verbo auxiliar o no:"to have" actuando como verbo auxiliar
TO HAVE: HABERNOTA: en éste caso el verbo "to have" significa "haber" ,ésta forma del "to have" la estudiaremos detenidamente en la pestaña "TIEMPOS PERFECTOS"
Cuando have es un verbo que acompaña a otro (auxiliar), la interrogación se construye cambiando el orden de sujeto y verbo have:
Oración Afirmativa:
tú has comido demasiado
¿has comido demasiado?
Oración Afirmativa:
tú tienes un lápiz
¿tienes un lápiz?
"to have" actuando como verbo no auxiliar
en inglés moderno se construye la interrogación con el auxiliar do:
have you a pencil? (British, en desuso)
La negación con el verbo "to have"
Al igual que en la interrogación hay que distinguir 2 casos:"to have" actuando como verbo auxiliar
Si "to have" cumple funciones de verbo auxiliar entonces se añade el adverbio "not" después del "have":Oración Afirmativa:
Yo he estudiado en Inglaterra
Yo no he estudiado en Inglaterra
"to have" no actuando como verbo auxiliar
Si "to have" no es auxiliar se utiliza el verbo to do como auxiliar.Oración Afirmativa:

Confusión "he's" puede ser o "he is" o "he has"
Desgraciadamente "he's" puede ser o "he is" o "he has", se tiene que determinar que es un caso u otro por el contexto. Lo mismo ocurre con "she's"y "it's".Contracciones del Presente Simple (negación)

you have not se puede contraer en you've not si se quiere destacar el not o en you haven't si se quiere destacar you, siendo mucho más frecuente you haven't
Algunas personas realizan una doble contracción: you have not se contrae en you'ven't. Aunque a efectos prácticos es muy poco frecuente.
