auxiliar did

Para formar preguntas en el pasado simple se usa el verbo auxiliar did. Usamos la siguiente estructura para todas las personas: 

did + sujeto + verbo en infinitivo sin to

Did you watch TV last night? (¿viste la televisión anoche?)
Did he visit his grandparents last weekend? (¿visitó él a sus abuelos el fin de semana pasado?)
Did they study for the exam? (¿estudiaron para el examen?)
Did you go to the supermarket? (¿fuiste al supermercado?) 
Did you see that film in the cinema? (¿viste esa película en el cine?)

Cuando añadimos una Question Word a la pregunta, ésta se coloca delante de "did", quedando la estructura así:

Question Word + did + sujeto + verbo en infinitivo sin to

Where did you go? (¿dónde fuiste?) 
When did she see that film? (¿cuándo vio ella esa película?)

2. CÓMO CONTESTAR PREGUNTAS CON DID

Para contestar a preguntas que empiecen con did, utilizaremos did para respuestas afirmativas y didn't para respuestas negativas.

Did you go to the supermarket? - yes, I did / No, I didn't 
Did he give her a present?  - yes, he did / No, he didn't 
Did she like the film? - yes, she did / No, she didn't 
Did they play football yesterday? - yes,  they did  /No, they didn't

CUIDADO con los verbos irregulares, por ejemplo el verbo "to go". Estos verbos tienen tres formas (ver enlaces relacionados):

1. infinitivo sin to (go)
2. pasado simple (went)
3. participio pasado (gone)

Observa estas frases en pasado simple:

Afirmativa: She went to the cinema yesterday (ayer ella fue al cine)
Interrogativa: Did she go to the cinema yesterday? (¿fue ella al cine ayer?)

En pasado simple, en las oraciones afirmativas con verbos irregulares usamos la segunda forma (went). Sin embargo, en las interrogativas usamos la primera forma -el infinitivo sin to- (go) porque ya indicamos que es pasado mediante el auxiliar did.

        ejemplos:
        did you study yesterday? ¿estudiastes ayer?
       observe que el verbo queda en presente porque el pasado me lo está indicando el did
       respuesta:yes, I studied yesterday. si, yo estudie ayer
       en la respuesta positiva no va el did pero el verbo se coloca en pasado
       no, I did not (didn´t ) study yesterday no, yo no estudie ayer.
       en la respuesta negativa  si va el did  para negar pero el verbo queda en presente porque  el 
       pasado lo está haciendo el  did.
